According to the legend of Saint Paul the Hermit, the raven symbolizes divine providence. Historical accounts also suggest that the village was named after a Pauline monk called Holló ("Raven"). The Hollóháza Porcelain Manufactory traces its origins to a glassworks established in 1777 on the Károlyi family's estate, on the site where the factory still stands today.

As the Manufactory approaches its 250th anniversary, it will revisit the most significant milestones of its quarter-millennium history in an informative series, from its beginnings to the present day.

Starting on September 1, these historical moments will be brought to life across a variety of platforms, including the Manufactory's website, social media channels, and other communication outlets.
